Princess Marie Rivia (she/her/hers) is a Los Angeles-based new media artist who uses technology as a creative medium. Her work begins with the question “what if,” building speculative and interactive projects that reimagine objects, environments, and experiences. Digital fashion design, interactive art, and technical art are the core areas of her practice.

In digital fashion design, she builds clothing and accessories in 3D for virtual and physical use. She also develops custom fabrics and materials for select garments. Other projects extend into fashion engineering, using microcontrollers, sensors, or lights to add interactive features to wearable designs.

Her interactive art combines creative coding, real-time software, and physical computing. She builds AR experiences, games, and installations that respond to audience input or behavior. For technical art, she develops shaders and materials through code and node-based systems. She uses them to shape the appearance, light response, and real-time behavior of 3D surfaces.

Worldbuilding is a recurring part of her practice, with cyberpunk, Y2K futurism, and fantasy shaping the visual language of her work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design and is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in Computer Science to deepen the technical skills behind her work. Her artistic training includes additional coursework in 3D animation and modeling, fashion design, and real-time virtual production.
